Now we do not think you should use refined Shea butter as this one gets hard and change colors , A lot of people are good at mixing and adding things to Shea butter and this can make it hard as well. Shea Butter is a great mixer, However to keep it simple everybody can't mix, So this makes it hard and gives the Shea a horrible scent,It kills the shelf life. The storage of Shea Butter: never leave it out in open areas, as it's picking up all kinds of germs and free radicals, It changes the natural balance of Shea butter, therefor it gets hard.

That's a great question

I run into people telling me that they got their Shea butter out of the big shell, how someone dip right into a shell and got it out. If you stop and think you will understand that a 50lb shell can't grow on a branch, Please understand that it"s place in a shell for marketing purpose only, not that it growed that way .

Well here at Sisters of Second Chance LLC we teach our customers what size a nut grows , the grade of Shea Butter , The color , and when it harvest. A Shea nut never grows bigger then a peach and no smaller then a strawberry . Yes that's a good question,

Shea Butter comes Yellow , White , Beige , Each one has healing properties
and it depends on the time of year that it's harvest. (Remember that shea butter
is a nut), The Karite Shea Tree bears it's fruit all year round because it's warm in Africa but we still get our harvest time when the Shea nut is at it's best.
